i am so excited i can hardly stand it! we are going on vacation in april...
just todd and i!
we will be heading to Jamaica again this year...this will be our 3rd trip, but we are staying at a new resort...here will be our home away from home for 6 days!
sandals whitehouse:
every room over looks the beach and ocean...i can't wait! for me there is so much peace on the beach and listening to the ocean...i love getting up early and walking on the beach, just taking it all in and thinking about life or nothing at all!
the pool looks wonderful too...
this will be our 6th sandals resort and it is truly a home away from home for us!
before the girls we took a beach vacation every year...so for 7 years. i was a lucky girl that headed to a wonderful topically island...yes, my husband has done a very good job of spoiling me...and i thank him for that!
when the girls were 9 months old we went to sandibel island...it was great, but not so much a beach vacation...but a lot of fun!
FL...twins spring training-march 2008
last year we went to jamaica and stayed at a different sandals resort for 5 days...without kids and it was such a good break!
so we are heading back to the sun, the sand and a little break for mom & dad...
and we could not do it with out wonderful grandparents...thank you so much!
i feel so blessed to be able to get a little break from my day to day life, to relax and have some time with todd and just spend time together...with no worries in the world.
for a few weeks i have been thinking about why i need a vacation and why a 'beach' vacation? there are lots of people who don't need a vacation, but for some reason i do. i don't know if i came up with an answer, but i am okay with that... i know this...
i enjoy to travel...i love it!
i don't get stressed out packing for a trip
i love going to the airport...i love to fly!
i enjoy a break...away from everything
and
to spend time with my husband...we need this time for 'us'...i know we don't need to go to jamaica to get it, but it will be good for us and the girls!

We have been to Jamaica 3x...once on our honeymoon over (gulp) 20 years ago and 2x to Beaches...the family version of Sandals with our boys. That photo of you with your girls reminded me of taking my oldest to Sanibel when he was barely walking! Yay! Happy for you and your upcoming vay-kay!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice to look forward to something when it's so miserable out here?
ReplyDeleteAwesome.
Oh, I'm so envious, yet so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteYou lucky duck! The only place we have been is Disney World and we had all 4 kids with us. It was a little stressful.
ReplyDeleteI just told MAtt that we need a vacation. But, here at our house while the kids go somewhere else:) I like being at home.

ReplyDeleteI want to go, take me with you :)
That looks so beautiful & relaxing!
You are going to have a great trip!
YAHOOOO - have a fabulous trip! Everyone needs a break every now and then to relax and sleep in and actually TALK and just be lazy. Enjoy it, every second ;D
ReplyDeletehooray for you guys! i'm a firm believer of leaving the four walls of the home with your husband to reconnect. a vacation to the beach alone sounds great!! that will definitely cure the snowing, grey blues and get you in the mood for some summer time fun!!
ReplyDeleteFun! We're going to the Bahamas in two weeks and I am so excited. We're taking Miles but my in-laws are going too, so I'll get lots of relaxing time!
ReplyDeleteI was excited about our weekend ski trip, but I now I think I might need a week long beach vacation!
