today, i thought i would tackle the family questions...so you learn a little more about us!
so let's get started!
where did todd and i meet?
todd's graduation may 1997
we meet in college at the University of St. Thomas! I was a junior and he was a senior. It was funny how it happened...i switched majors again and decided to be a communications major and that was his minor. so, we meet in the fall of 96 in communications 101. he was the only guy in the class and we were in a lot of small groups together. but, he never asked me out...the whole time! i had a boyfriend at the time, but he asked one day if i did...and i told him i didn't! that was my first clue, that really maybe i should not be dating this other guy!we have a j-term, which there are no classes typically during the month of January. so, i didn't talk to him from mid-Dec. to Feb. he walked into my 9:15 class on m-w-f and we sat next to each other...i had no idea he would be in the class, but was happy about it. class was over and he didn't move...either did i, we had another class together. so back-to-back class...the whole morning long. i thought, if he does not ask me out within the first month of class, i am going to die!
finally, he asked me out...our first day was feb. 15th! we saw jerry maguire and then went to perkin's afterwards...really romantic first day. but, it was a good one...and he kissed me good night!
we started dating and now 13 years later i am still head over heels for him! he is the best husband i could ask for. we still have so much fun together and can pretty much read each others mind!
wedding day-sept. 15, 2000
totally out of the blue one random friday night! actually, it was so funny he did it that night, because i was not feeling that great, but knew we had to go out for an office dinner for his work...or at least that was his story he told me.we would carpool together to work and he dropped me off at home so i could take a little nap before dinner...in the mean time he drove all over the cities finding stuff for the evening.
-he stopped and asked my mom if he could ask to marry me...so sweet and i didn't know that he did this!
-picked up a turtle to put the ring box in...that was a joke...he was so slow about wanting to get married!
-had a bottle of champagne
he got down on one knee and asked me...i think the first thing out of my mouth was...'really, you really want to marry me?' and then i said yes.
we had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in st. paul, w.a. frost. it was a perfect evening and i was on cloud 9!

which one is more strict?
i think we are pretty much on the same page on rules in our house. but, i typically am the one who doesn't let the girls get away with something more then 2 times, but i am around them 90% of the time, so i think that is why! i think we both grew up in families that had rules, but more it was about respect. that is what i want the girls to learn...respect!
do twins run in your family?
girls-6 weeks old
yes, they do. my great-grandmother had 2 sets of twins. but, to be honest we had a very good idea that twins was a big possibility for us. after 4 years of major infertility issues, we took a very big step that was a huge decision for us and did ivf. it was something we never wanted to do, but in the end, it was one of our only choices if we wanted to have children of our own. we prayed very hard about if we were making the right decision and in our heart of hearts we felt this was right for us and the timing was right as well. it took us almost 2 years to get to that decision. and we were very lucky...our first time and it worked...and both took! we truly feel so blessed to have k&m in our lives. so, that leads me to the next big question...we will have more babies?
at this time, no more babies. we feel so blessed that we have 2 little healthy girls and we can't ask for more then that. we feel very lucky given our past situation and are a happy family of 4, while 5 with bella! what is my favorite food?
oh, this is a hard one, but anything chocolate i love! i know chocolate is not really a food, but i love it! and another favorite...mexican food!what other hobbies to i enjoy besides photography & sewing?
-i love to scrapbook, make things...i have a project list a mile long!-i love, love to travel...right now i have a little bit of a travel bug going on. i just want to get away for a few days as a family!
-enjoy spending time with family & friends
-reading...i have been reading the best books this summer!
-talking-can that be a hobby? i love to talk
-shopping too...for the girls more these days then me!
Dominica Republic-Sunrise-Feb. 06-
there are a few ways i like to relax, but my all time favorite would be...on the beach or by the pool! i love watching the sunrise or sunset...something about it, just puts a smile on my face and is so peaceful. and last question for today!
what other projects have i scrapbooked recently?
oh, i wish i could say i work on my then just my 365 project, but right now that is all i have been doing in the scrapbook world. i did do a scrapbook for each girl...their first year of life. and i have started their next scrapbook.
also, i have a scrapbook of todd & i before the girls came and i try to keep up on a family one as well...i have a few random pages done in it.
my goal is to work on the girls' book this winter again and try and get caught up on them!
enjoy your weekend! any fun plans...please share! we will be hanging out at home again...getting together with some friends!
see you on monday!
