Penny Boxes

We have started a new reward system around our house and it works like this:
get 1 or more pennies for...
 -good listening all day
-going to bed nicely and staying in bed
-picking up toys...and not having to ask 3 times
 -for learning something new
examples:  buckling your carseat, zipping up your coat, snapping your jeans
and a penny taken away for...
-not good listening
-talking back
-not sharing
-just bad behavior that keeps going on and on

So, I took the girls to Micheal's to pick out 'Penny Boxes' to keep their pennies in.
And they got to paint and decorate them anyway they wanted...
Here they are working on decorating them to make them so, so pretty!
Finished Penny Boxes
A side view, we all of their stickers they put on
And when the boxes are all full of pennies, they can turn them in for cash and either save the money in their piggy banks or get something fun!

I hope this helps with some of the bad behavior we have been having in the house these days!
Happy Craft Day!

  2. How cute! Simply adorable. Sadly this would not work up in this hizzle with teen boys.
