365 project...to do or not to do?

for weeks i have been asking myself if i am going to do the 365 project in 2010...i have loved doing it this year, but it is a lot of work and my other scrapbooks are not up to date, which is really starting to bother me.

becky higgins has this great 'project life' kit that includes everything you need to do the 365 project or just highlight a month and it makes the scrapbooking piece every easy...you get everything you need and it is a great price!

part of me says, if i am just going to highlight each month, then don't get the kit...because i love to scrapbook, create the page, look for the perfect paper, come up with the layout and create fun embellishments. the other part of me says...get it!

so i am struggle with this right now...i know it is nothing to loose sleep over, but i love pictures, i love to document our life, i love to create and i have loved doing it this year.

the challenges i faced this year with the 365 project:
-no kit, they sold out in about an hour
-making all of my own month and journaling cards
-getting behind in journaling...on paper. i have everything pretty up to date on line
-printing pictures...i did this once a month, which is a big task too!

i do know, that one of my goals for scrapbooking this year is to have both k&m's book up to date by their 3rd birthday...i have to have it done. i have 6 months to get it done and i have my spreadsheet ready of what needs to be done.

if i do end of doing the 365 project, it might just be all on-line and not in a book...there is just something so fun about taking a picture a day and looking back on what a year we have had.

any advise...i would love to hear it!

  1. Bought the kit... So tired of having all of my pics on the computer and I truly miss scrapbooking, but know that it just isn't the season of life where I can keep up.
So thanks for the tip. I am encouraged that you survived your first 365. Hoping that I don't bail out come January 17th.
