the girls are now in big girl beds...and it has been a big adjustment for us all. they are doing pretty well staying in them, but they do get out here and there.
i have lost a little bit of my freedom at naptime, due to the big change. it takes them a little bit longer to settle down and fall asleep, but once they do, they are down for 2 + hours....thank goodness. today it took about an hour for them both to fall asleep...i rocked k finally after an hour and she was out in less then 5 minutes.
last night they both asked for their cribs back...it broke my heart a little bit. it was sad taking them down last week, we no longer have babies in our house, but big girls...i miss my little babies from time to time, but i love watching these 2 little girls grow up too.
now that it is quite in the house, i need to finish putting it back together after the christmas storm came thru...what a mess...boxes everywhere, toys, clothes, dishes, laundry, the list goes on...and working on the girls room...need to order the legs for their nightstand that matching the rest of their furniture, need to get their bedding and make them some new artwork for their walls...
i will post fun christmas pictures later this week and have to start on my custom etsy orders...they will be shipping soon!

ReplyDeleteoh my gosh- their room looks so peaceful and cozy. Kaylin was one of my runner ups for Mackenna's name- i was so stuck on a K name.... I make do with calling her Kenna. :) Watching your "babaies" grow up is definitely bittersweet- my "baby" is five and a half this year and there is no going back...
