weekend recap = yard work!

we had a great weekend!  i am still getting back into life a little bit slow, but that is okay!  i am just enjoying this wonderful spring MN weather we are having...it was great this past weekend.

we worked in the yard and garage all weekend...and the girls helped!  

i wish i could say that we had done a great job in the yard...we did before the girls!  but, the last 2 summers, we have just done what we needed too...which was pretty much mow and water the grass!

before the girls...todd and i re-did the area behind our garage that faces the ally.  it was a lot of work and took us 2 weekends to complete!  now, if you don't have an ally...it is pretty much like having another little road at the back of your house...so everyone in your neighborhood sees it...and we have a pretty nice ally!  ours on the other hand...not looking so nice!


so saturday i was sick of looking at the grass and weeds growing in the flower bed...and it needed mulch badly!  i even got out the camera and took before/after shots...because it was that bad!

and the girls helped too!

and on sunday they rode bikes while i cleaned out the garage...it is so much cleaner, i love it!

and one of the games kaylin talked mara in to...was she could not ride and needed her help...so mara would get off her bike to give kaylin a push!  i could not believe it and mara helped her sister out every time she asked...they always will have each other, even when kaylin really didn't need her help!

now i am writing this late at night...funny how i went to bed so much earlier on vacation!  i best get to bed, morning will come too fast and i have to get back into the swing of a busy schedule!
