11/21: Thankful Trees: Mara's

i got this idea from this blog and i loved it, so the girls each made a 'thankful tree'. they told me what they were thankful at age 2 1/2...i didn't really help that much...at times when mara told me she was thankful for the door in our basement...otherwise these are their thankful trees.

i think it will be something we do every year and as they get older we will make one family 'thankful tree'.

if you want to make one it is easy. i just simple, here is what you need and the steps:

• card stock paper: white,brown/tan, reds, orange, yellow and greens
• scissors
• glue stick
  
• pen
• kids to think of what they are thankful for

i just cut out the tree...randomly, no pattern to follow
glued it on the white card stock
cut out a lot of little leaves..again i didn't follow any pattern just did it free hand
ask the kids what they are thankful, write them on the leaves and have them glue
i just put their names and date on it.

today is mara's tree, come back tomorrow for kaylin's.

ask you can see, there are a few repeats, but that is what she wanted on her leaf!
