Weekend Recap!

So again, here it is Tuesday already and I have not blogged yet this week!  I am falling behind here on the blog, because our days have been crazy with drop off, pick ups, the gym, sewing and trying to enjoy the Christmas season!

We had a great weekend...with NO plans on the calendar.  It was the first in a long time with nothing going on and it felt great.  The highlight was a visit to Santa on Friday afternoon with the girls and out to dinner.

The girls have been visiting the same Santa since they were 6 months old and Santa Sid is the BEST in town!
Here is a little recap of the last 5 Santa visits:

Here is what the girls asked Santa for this year...
Mara:  video game and a Tinker Bell camera
Kaylin: Baby doll cloths

Weekend Recap...Finally!

I hope everyone had a very Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!
We did, it was wonderful...
family
friends
good food
and just being at home...Daddy surprised us and took Friday off too!

Life is a little busy around here, so I have not been able to get any blogging done.
Really, I have not even sat down at my computer in a few days!
I wish I had more time in the day to get it all done, but right now I am just focusing on the most important things in life and running with it.

We had a wonderful long weekend together.  We were able to spend some time with our friends from Chicago...so happy they were in town for a few days!
The girls had so much fun playing together.
They made some new picture frames again...we attempted to get a picture of all of us and their frames!
This is the only one I have of us all looking at the camera!

And the other big event over our weekend was cutting down our Christmas Tree.
We started this family tradition 2 years ago and it gets better and better each year.
The girls loved running through all  of the Christmas Trees and trying to find us following our voices!
We found a great tree this year...we were going for something a little different then we have in the past.  We wanted a more 'Charlie Brown' looking tree...but there were not so many of them on the tree farm, but we ended up finding one that was perfect for us!
Do you have your tree up yet?
And is it real or fake?
I am loving the fresh pine smell in my house.
Happy Tuesday!

PS:  I am going to try to be back a few more times this week!

Weekend Wrap Up

What a great weekend!
Great date night
Great company over
Great weather
Great holiday show
Great things to be thankful for...

So we worked on a cute 'Thank'ful tree, more coming on the how to make later this week.
And a few things the girls were thankful for...

Totally changing the subject.  We have been looking for a few months fora little desk in our main living room.  A place to house the laptop, that has been currently making a home on a dining room chair!
Picked up this table at Home Goods...I love that store.  I like it, but I think it needs to grow on me a little bit.
Do you have any great ideas for my laptop?
Happy Monday!

Weekend Wrap Up!

I can breathe again....but the exhaustion and hard work was worth it!  The Wild Ruffle Pop-Up shop was so much fun!  A peek at the shop!
 Door Prizes!
Cate did an amazing job with this event...it was a hit!  I knew it was be good, but she did a wonderful job with every detail of the shop!  There was such a great buzz all morning long and people were in the mood to shop!  I sold out of my Messy Hair clips, and came home with a few dollie sleeping bags and crayon roll-ups!  It was my first holiday show I have even done...and it was a blast!  I can't wait for the next Wild Ruffle shop!

I forgot my camera that morning in my mad dash out the door, but did get a few pictures on my phone!  And for some reason I didn't take pictures until almost the show was over and I never got a full table shot, maybe because I was busy selling!
My sign!  I painted it free hand to match my business cards and logo!  And I actually had someone ask me if it was for sale!  I could not believe it!

I only sold crayon roll-ups, dollie sleeping bags and messy hair clips at the show.  I wanted to keep it simple and I was thinking holidays...and stocking stuffers!
I am so happy it was a hit for my friend Cate.
I know she spent many hours working on this event and it paid off.
Great Job!
Happy Monday!

We had lots of Halloween things to do or get done this weekend!

Friday night we carved Pumpkins...finally!
Little recap of carving:
The girls went to a Halloween party at Lifetime and the parents got to leave...bonus!
So they were able to wear their Little 50's costumes.
Yes, I did make their poodle skirts!

To Grandma and Grandpa's we go...headed there on Sunday for the day.
Girls wore their costumes again...and loved showing their grandparents!
 Halloween is up next.
I am behind this week...one little girl with a fever and sewing like a mad women!

And our pictures from our photo shoot were posted here
Can't wait to get our CD with more pictures!

Weekend Wrap Up!

Another beautiful weekend around here...there are not a lot of signs of fall anymore.
This week we they say we will be in the 80's again!  Funny how I love, love the summer, but my body is so ready for the crisp fall weather right now.  I just want to wear a big sweater and enjoy the fall sunshine!

We had another fun full weekend hanging out with friends...at the Tommie/Johnnie Game.  It is one of the biggest games of the year for the University of St. Thomas and St. John's...kind of like the Vikings and Packers game, but for college football!

It is always so much fun to be back on campus and bring the girls with us now.  I LOVED college and love the fact that I can still enjoy it as an adult too!

Here are some pictures to recap the game!
 Tommie the 'Tom Cat'
On another note...that big build in the back is brand new...not even opened yet!  It used to be a parking lot when I was in college and now it is the new student center!  It is beautiful from the outside, I can't wait to see the inside when it opens!
The girls did so well...sitting for the first half.  Then we had to go find some yummy treats!
And of course...nothing is complete around here without getting a family picture!
The game was a blow out...just after half time, the Tommies were winning 63 to 0!
I felt bad for the Johnnies we were with, but we still all had a great time!
What a great weekend!
How was yours?
Tell me to you visit your college still?

Weekend Wrap Up!

Another great weekend around here at home and some great fall weather too!

We went to the Cretin homecoming football game on Friday night to watch Elizabeth dance.  I was Elizabeth's first babysitter when I was in college, she was in our wedding and our families have stayed close friends.

It was so much fun to watch her dance and enjoy a high school football game again!  I have a special place in my heart for the 'Dance Line Girls', since I was one of them in high school too!

The Girls!
How was your weekend?  Do anything fun?
Happy Monday!
