Weekend Wrap Up

We had another great weekend at home! 
WOW, does it feel good to be home after a lot of travel in August.  

Our weekend was filled with this...

It was a great weekend and ended with outdoor mass...in the rain, but it was beautiful to see so many people there in the pouring rain!

And the girls had fun at the fair too...

Face painted, lots of rides, way too much candy...

and now I have this junk sitting on my coffee table!

At least we all had fun!

weekend review

Now that it is Wednesday, I am finally getting around to a post!  I think having Todd gone for a few days did me in and I am wiped and still catching up!
We had a fun filled weekend...just the girls and I.

Daddy was gone on a canon trip for a few days!

I didn't take a lot of pictures, but we had fun!

We played at grandma's

Swam at the pool

And had a play date with cute girls!

Could they be any cuter...I don't think so!

Hello August!

I can't believe it is August, that means school starts in just over a month!

Where, oh, where has the summer gone?

August I hope you are as good as July was!

Weekend Review: Growing!

This is what our garden looked like at the end of May. 

For some reason I didn't take a picture of it after we planted everything, but really the only plates that you could see where the tomatoes.  Everything else we started from seeds!

And this is what it looked like this weekend...actually the tomato plants are bigger now even!

I am happy to say we have lots of tomatoes growing and I can't wait for that first one I pick!  I love a garden fresh tomato with a little salt on it.

My peas are not doing well...something is eating them and I am not sure what and the beans are okay.

And the zucchini is a lot bigger then I thought it was going to be...so I think next year we will not do as many.

Check out this lettuce...yummy!

The girls have loved watching the garden grow.  They check on it every morning and then fill up their watering cans to water it...so cute!

Our first crop of beans we picked this weekend and Mara pretty much ate all of them!

Saturday: Fitted

I got fitted on Saturday...for a new bra that is! 

After reading Get Fit by Cate over at Wild Ruffle,  there are some great tips over there, so please check out Wild Ruffle...Cate is a fashion queen!

Did you know that 8 out of 10 women are wearing the wrong size...crazy!

I figured it was time for some new bras and because Nordstrom is having their Anniversary sale right now.  

I picked up two new ones...and guess what, I was wearing the wrong size!

I didn't think I was since I was fitted 2 year ago, I guess you can change from year to year, which I had no idea.  I might just pick up one more before the sale is over, there are just too many great deals to miss out on.

I am loving my new bras...which, is great, since I have to wear one everyday!

Now, ladies go get fitted and run to Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

Sunday: Beached

The heat is back here in the Midwest!  Hot, hot, hot is in the forecast this whole week. 

I love the heat, so I am not complaining one bit.

But, when it is this hot I need the beach, so we packed up the car and spent the day on the St. Croix at the beach!  

It was great!

we had a fabulous weekend at home with some hot, hot weather around here.

Saturday morning heading to the St. Paul Farmer's Market

 the girls got balloon shapes...Mara loved her Parrot!

and we took a little wagon ride!

Sunday it was the 10th so I finally remembered to do 10 on 10!

Weekend Review = Beach Ball and Bubbles!

The sun finally came out on Sunday, after days and days of cloudy skies and rain...

so we got out the Beach Ball Sprinkler and the girls had some fun!

and her just getting a little drink...

and my sweet, sweet girls!

And we enjoyed some bubbles!  I am telling you these ice cream cone bubbles I got for their birthday are the BEST bubbles.  They don't drip all over the place and they make a lot of bubbles!

Mara had fun trying to catch them...so cute!

I just love that little face of hers!

weekend review

it was a girls weekend in our house.  daddy was gone on a fishing trip, so we did some girly things while daddy was gone.

played together in the sprinkler:

can you believe that summer has finally come!

this mama did some deep cleaning...

it was so much fun to clean the carpets!

put the girls' hair in curls:

my mom did the curls...she did this to my hair when i was little too...seeing my girls in the 'curl's brings back so many memories!  they loved them!

and enjoyed a parade on sunday:

where they got way too much candy, but had a great time!

and now the house is very quiet

the girls are at grandma and grandpa's for a few days!

we are going to have a date night

i am going to clean the house...and it will stay cleaned and picked up for more then 2 hours!

do some shopping 

and just enjoy the peace and quiet in the house!

weekend review

i love looong weekend!  they are just the best!  i wish the weather had been a little bit nicer out, but we still managed to get a lot done!

here is a little review:

pinkalicious the play on friday night...it was so much fun and pink! the girls loved it!

i finally got my window boxes planted, feels good to have them done!

mara checked on the fairy garden and watered the plants!

mulch, mulch and more mulch!  this was our 4th trip of getting 20 bags of mulch.  we are now done...thank goodness!

enjoyed my favorite summer beer...yummy!

the girls flew their kites and had so much fun!  it made me feel like a kid again...what a great feeling!

but, the best part of the weekend was planting our garden with my mom!
i love the fact that all of us...three generations out there digging, planting and 

growing up we had a huge garden.  my mom loved her garden and i love all of the fresh veggies from it.  so i am excited that we planted this year.  i hope that we will get some yummy fresh veggies.  i will give you an update in a few weeks on how things are growing.
