christmas traditions-holiday cards

if you know me, then you know i am a big 'traditions' kind of girl. before we had kids, we had a few christmas traditions that i really loved...the first one i will share with you is our holiday cards...love sending out cards, love getting them in the mail...it is just so much fun to get 'happy mail'...that is what i like to call it and getting the mail is a huge part of our day...the girls love it when it comes!

since we have been married...9 years, we have always sent out a holiday card...i typically use gina, who also did all of our wedding invites, birth announcements and many other gifts for me over the years...there were a few years we didn't use her...not sure why. but for the past few we have.

gina is wonderful to work with...so easy going, has so many great ideas and i love the fact that i can design it...i like to think it is one of a kind! gina has a cute etsy shop called lettergirl...go check it out!

here are a few of our past cards that gina has done for us...

2004:

2005:

not sure what we did in 2006, but i can't find the card!

2007:

2008:

now i must run, because i have 100+ cards to color and put this year's picture on and once they are in the mail...i will share with you all too.

more traditions coming this month...so come on back! and if you have any wonderful holiday traditions, i would love to hear them...always looking for new ones to add to our list!

  1. Love those cards:) Fall one is so pretty.

A few of my favs that we do are,
1.everyone gets a ornament in their stocking to add to their own collection. Then they each of their own ornament box to put all their ornaments in when we take the tree down. They LOVE when we put the tree up and they have their own and get to remember each one.
2.Every Christmas Eve they get to open one present and every year it is the same...........new jammies. (usually Christmas colors.) They love this. I take a picture of them all together and have a picture frame that I swap out the picture from the year before.
3.All the kids pile on one of the beds and Dad reads Twas the Night Before Christmas, before they all go to bed:)

Sorry about the long comment. Those are a few of my favs:)
